    How to Apply

    1. Step 1: Offline application — step 1

      To avail the benefits of the scheme, applicants must obtain an application form from the District Probation Office. Along with the completed application form, the following documents must be submitted: the child’s Aadhaar card, the child’s bank account (or the guardian’s bank account in case of a minor), death certificates of both parents (in case of parental death), and a medical certificate in case of critical illness or disability of the parents. Additionally, the Aadhaar card of the guardian or parent must also be attached. After that, the application form is submitted to the District Probation Office. Thereafter, approval is given by the district level committee headed by the District Magistrate. However, not all applicants may receive the benefit, as the Government of India sets target limits for each district. Only those applications selected within the prescribed target limit are granted the benefit.
