What is Scheme To Provide Grant To The Institution(s)/Individual(s) For Long Term Project In The Field Of Art And Culture?
The scheme aims to give financial support to institution(s)/individual(s) involved in long term projects in the field of Art and Culture. It provides a maximum grant of ₹5,00,000/- per annum to eligible organizations and individuals, while also encouraging young talent and offering scholarships.

- - ***Financial Grant:*** Eligible institutions or individuals shall be entitled for a grant to the extent of 80% of the total expenditure involved.- ***Maximum Ceiling:*** The maximum financial grant limit provided under this scheme is ₹5,00,000/- (Indian Rupees Five Lakhs) per annum.- ***Support for Talent and Education:*** The scheme encourages young talents in the State to excel their talent to reach the highest possible standard/merit under the guidance of a renowned teacher/artist outside the State.- ***Scholarships:*** Financial support is given to students seeking to get basic or advanced education/training in any field of Art and Culture by way of scholarships.- ***Disbursement Conditions:*** The actual financial grant received shall be decided by the Sub-Committee/Department of Art and Culture/Government. This decision is based on the nature and scope of the project, the reputation of the institution, and taking into consideration the overall impact on the society.- ***Fund Restriction:*** The Department/Government may restrict the number of institutions according to the availability of funds.- ***Disbursement:*** The amount is disbursed to the eligible institution(s)/individual(s) in the form of a cheque, after the Director of Art and Culture obtains Government approval based on the Sub-Committee's recommendations.

How to Apply

The applicant, whether an eligible institution or an individual, should apply for financial assistance under the scheme by submitting an application in writing. This written application must be submitted along with all the stipulated documentation relevant to the applicant type (Institution or Individual), such as the Detailed Project Report and eligibility proof documents.

Step 2: Consideration by Sub-Committee

Once the application is received, the appointed Sub-Committee shall meet as and when required to consider the applications received under this scheme. The Sub-Committee is responsible for assessing the applications and giving its formal recommendations, including the names of the approved institutions and the specific amount sanctioned to each, for further government approval.

After the recommendations are formally received from the Sub-Committee, the Director of Art and Culture is responsible for obtaining the necessary Government approval for the recommendations. This government approval confirms the sanctioning of the grant amount to the eligible applicant(s).

Following the successful obtaining of the Government approval, the Director of Art and Culture shall disburse the sanctioned amount to the eligible institution(s) or individual(s). This financial assistance will be provided to the beneficiary in the physical form of a cheque.

If any grievance arises out of implementation of this scheme, the concerned matter shall be heard and decided by the Minister for Art and Culture. The decision rendered by the Minister for Art and Culture regarding such grievances shall be considered final.
