    How to Apply

    1. Step 1: Online application — step 1

After receiving the target from the Government of India, the Agriculture Department/District Chief Agriculture Officer’s Office publishes an advertisement inviting applications for the purchase of agricultural machinery at a subsidized rate. To avail of the benefits under this scheme, farmers must apply within the dates specified in the advertisement. Applications can be submitted online through the SMAM portal at http://agrimachinery.nic.in , either personally or with the help of the nearest Common Service Center (CSC). While applying online, farmers are required to upload their Aadhaar card and Aadhaar-linked mobile number, bank account details, land ownership certificate, and caste certificate (if applicable). All submitted documents must pertain to the district where the agricultural land is located. Farmers who are unable to apply online may seek assistance from the Block-level Officer of the Agriculture Department. Upon successful submission, the farmer will receive a registration number/certificate. The farmer must then purchase the machinery from an empaneled firm approved by the Agriculture Department (listed on the portal) and upload the purchase bills using the registration number provided. The uploaded bills are verified by Agriculture Department officials, after which the subsidy amount is directly transferred (DBT) to the farmer’s bank account. The scheme operates on a “first-come, first-served” basis. Each district is allotted a specific target, and once the target is achieved, further applications are deferred to the next financial year.

    2. Step 2: Online - Via Csc application — step 1

Applications can be submitted online by visiting the nearest Common Service Center (CSC), along with all the relevant documents.
