How to Apply
Step 1: Offline application — step 1
Patients suffering from Thalassemia must get themselves registered by visiting the DEIC Centres established at Sub-District Hospital Roorkee, Base Hospital Almora, Base Hospital Nainital, and District Hospital Rudrapur (Udham Singh Nagar). For registration, patients are required to provide their Aadhaar card, mobile number, and a medical certificate confirming the disease issued by a qualified doctor. After registration, patients can avail of free blood filters, chelators, and blood transfusion facilities. Patients suffering from Haemophilia can obtain free haemophilia factors from their nearest government medical unit after registering with the Haemophilia Society by submitting a doctor’s diagnostic prescription and Aadhaar card. They can also complete their registration by contacting the 104 Helpline (toll-free) or directly through the Haemophilia Society.
