How to Apply
Step 1: Offline application — step 1
Various departments submit their requirements for PRD volunteers to the Youth Welfare and PRD Department as needed. Based on these requirements, the department invites applications through advertisements, and district-wise dates are scheduled for physical measurements and examinations. To participate in the examination, applicants must submit their birth certificate, mobile number, bank account details, permanent residence certificate, caste certificate, and educational qualification certificate. PRD volunteers are selected based on the merit of the physical examination by a committee headed by the District Magistrate. Selected PRD (uniformed) volunteers undergo 22 days of paramilitary training followed by 15 days of retraining. After completing the training, they are deployed on duty, and their honorarium for the deployment period is paid directly through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer).
