Under this scheme, one woman or adolescent girl from each district, who has made outstanding achievements in a particular field, is awarded a cash prize of ₹51,000/- along with a certificate of appreciation by the State Government.

    How to Apply

    1. Step 1: Online application — step 1

      Applications are invited once a year by the department through publicity. The application must be submitted online on the departmental website https://wecd.uk.gov.in/ The received applications are reviewed by the District Level Committee, and three names are recommended to the Directorate from each district. The State Level Committee evaluates these applications and selects the final participant. The award is distributed on 8th August every year.
