समर्थन की प्रकृति और अवधि: शक्ति अनुदान महिला शोधकर्ताओं को निम्नलिखित दो श्रेणियों के तहत वित्त पोषण करके सशक्त बनाएगा:-स्तर I:-तीन वर्षों के लिए 60 लाख रुपये तक के वित्तपोषण का पैमाना। स्तर II: तीन वर्षों के लिए 30 लाख रुपये तक के वित्तपोषण का पैमाना। - बिजली अनुदान उपकरण, श्रमशक्ति, उपभोग्य वस्तुओं, यात्रा और आकस्मिकता के लिए प्रदान किया जाता है। एस. ई. आर. बी. के प्रचलित मानदंडों के अनुसार कार्यान्वयन संस्थान को अतिरिक्त खर्च भी प्रदान किया जा रहा है। * नोट: * शक्ति अनुदान को एस. ई. आर. बी.-सी. आर. जी. दिशानिर्देशों के अनुरूप संदर्भ शर्तों के माध्यम से विनियमित किया जाएगा।

"एस. ई. आर. बी.-पावर रिसर्च ग्रांट्स" एस. ई. आर. बी.-पावर (अन्वेषणात्मक अनुसंधान में महिलाओं के लिए अवसरों को बढ़ावा देना) कार्यक्रमों के तहत एक कार्यक्रमों श्रेणी है, जिसे विज्ञान और इंजीनियरिंग अनुसंधान बोर्ड (एस. ई. आर. बी.), विज्ञान और प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार द्वारा शुरू किया गया है। एस. ई. आर. बी.-पावर (अन्वेषणात्मक अनुसंधान में महिलाओं के लिए अवसरों को बढ़ावा देना) कार्यक्रमों भारतीय शैक्षणिक संस्थानों और आर एंड डी प्रयोगशालाओं में विभिन्न एस एंड टी कार्यक्रमोंों में विज्ञान और इंजीनियरिंग अनुसंधान वित्तपोषण में लैंगिक असमानता को कम करने के लिए तैयार किया गया है। एस. ई. आर. बी.-पावर विशेष रूप से अनुसंधान और विकास गतिविधियों में लगी भारतीय महिला वैज्ञानिकों के लिए समान पहुंच और भारित अवसर सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अनुसंधान में बढ़ी हुई विविधता की दिशा में संरचित प्रयास प्रदान करने के लिए डिज़ाइन किया गया है। 'एस. ई. आर. बी.-पावर रिसर्च ग्रांट्स' का उद्देश्य विज्ञान और इंजीनियरिंग के अग्रणी क्षेत्रों में अनुसंधान और विकास गतिविधियों को शुरू करने के लिए व्यक्तिगत-केंद्रित और प्रतिस्पर्धी शोध वित्त पोषण के लिए उभरती हुई और प्रतिष्ठित महिला शोधकर्ताओं को प्रोत्साहित करना है।

पात्रता

  • आवेदक [प्रधान अन्वेषक (पी. आई.) और सह-प्रधान अन्वेषक (सह-पी. आई.)] भारतीय नागरिक होने चाहिए। 1. आवेदक को किसी मान्यता प्राप्त शैक्षणिक संस्थान या राष्ट्रीय प्रयोगशाला या भारत में किसी अन्य मान्यता प्राप्त अनुसंधान और विकास संस्थान में नियमित शैक्षणिक/अनुसंधान पद होना चाहिए। 1. आई. टी., आई. एस. ई. आर., आई. एस. सी., एन. आई. टी., केंद्रीय विश्वविद्यालयों और केंद्र सरकार के संस्थानों की राष्ट्रीय प्रयोगशालाओं के आवेदकों पर स्तर I श्रेणी के तहत विचार किया जाएगा, जबकि राज्य विश्वविद्यालयों/कॉलेजों और निजी शैक्षणिक संस्थानों के आवेदकों को स्तर II श्रेणी के तहत आवेदन करना होगा। 1. यू. जी. सी.-संकाय पुनर्भरण कार्यक्रम के माध्यम से भर्ती किए गए संकाय आवेदन करने के पात्र हैं। इंस्पायर फैकल्टी, रामानुजन और रामलिंगस्वामी अध्येता भी आवेदन करने के पात्र हैं बशर्ते कि आवेदन जमा करने के समय उनका कार्यकाल कम से कम साढ़े तीन साल शेष हो। 1. उसी संस्थान से महिला सी. ओ.-पी. आई. की अनिवार्य आवश्यकता है। 1. पुरुष सी. ओ.-पी. आई. को पावर अनुदान अनुसंधान योजना में अनुमति नहीं है। 1. पी. एच. डी. गाइड सी. ओ.-पी. आई. नहीं हो सकता। 1. जिन्हें पहले से ही बिजली अनुदान मिल चुका है, उन्हें बिजली अनुदान योजना में फिर से आवेदन करने की अनुमति नहीं है। 1. जे. सी. बोस अध्येताओं और जो पहले ही दो सी. आर. जी. पूरा कर चुके हैं, उन्हें पावर अनुदान अनुसंधान योजना के लिए आवेदन करने की अनुमति नहीं है। 1. प्रति परियोजना सी. ओ.-पी. आई. की संख्या दो से अधिक नहीं होनी चाहिए। नोट 1: महिला वैज्ञानिक एक ही समय में पावर फैलोशिप और पावर ग्रांट नहीं ले सकती हैं। * नोट 02: * एस. ई. आर. बी.-सी. आर. जी. दिशानिर्देशों की पुष्टि करने वाली संदर्भ शर्तों के माध्यम से बिजली अनुदान को विनियमित किया जाएगा। नोट 3: एस. ई. आर. बी. पावर अनुदान को एस. ई. आर. बी. सी. आर. जी. दिशानिर्देशों के अनुरूप संदर्भ शर्तों के माध्यम से विनियमित किया जाएगा, सिवाय राष्ट्रीय प्रयोगशालाओं और अनुसंधान संस्थानों द्वारा 50 प्रतिशत गैर-आवर्ती लागत को साझा करने के। नोट 04: उपकरण शीर्ष के तहत बजट टियर II संस्थानों के लिए 14 लाख रुपये (30 लाख रुपये की सीमा) से अधिक नहीं है।

    After login, applicant(s) are required to fill all the mandatory fields in the Profile Detail section under User Profile. which includes Bio-data, Photos, Institute Address, etc.

    If you have CO-PI in your proposal then ensure that all the CO-PI's are also registered into the system following the same procedure.

  4. चरण 4: Online — Step 04

    Some of the details of your proposal like Project Title (max 500 characters), Project summary (max 3000 characters), Keywords (max 6), Objectives of the project (max 1500 characters), Expected output, and outcome of the proposal (max 1500 characters), Budget (Research Personnel, Consumables, Travel, Equipment, Contingency, Overheads ) have to be entered at the time of proposal submission.

    Other relevant information of the proposal has to be uploaded in a single PDF file not more than 10 MB as other technical documents (OTD). Note: The selection will be based on the recommendations of the Program Advisory Committee (PAC) constituted by the Board. If required, the applicants may be called for discussion/presentation. <br>

FAQ

What is the maximum amount of the grant the Board will fund?

POWER Grants will empower women researchers by funding them under the following two categories: Level I: The scale of funding up to 60 Lakhs for three years. Level II: The scale of funding up to 30 Lakhs for three years.

What is level I & Level II in SERB- POWER research grant?

Applicants from IITs, IISERs, IISC, NITs, Central Universities, and national Labs of Central government Institutions will be considered under level I category. Whereas applicants from state Universities/ Colleges and Private Academic Institutions should apply under Level II category.

Does the Board has any priority areas for funding under SERB- POWER research grant?

No. The Board funds all the areas of Science and Engineering without discriminating between disciplines. The proposal will be funded if it has novelty and the investigator has the competence to execute the project.

I am currently executing an CRG project. I want to apply for another project under SERB- POWER research grant. Will I be funded another project?

No. The Board funds only one project to an Investigator at a time, except in cases where calls for proposals are invited for specific areas/schemes/programs.

Are Co-Investigators allowed in SERB- POWER research grant project? If they are from different institutions, can the budget be provided separately to both the Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator(s)?

Yes. Only female Co-Investigator(s) are allowed in SERB- POWER research grant project; provided the work proposed requires complementary expertise for its implementation. A separate budget can also be provided to the female Co-Investigator (s) even if they belong to different institutions.

Under which heads SERB-POWER research grant can be utilized?

The SERB-POWER research grant is provided for Equipment, Research Personnel, Consumables, Travel and Contingency. Overheads is also being provided to the Implementing institution as per prevailing Norms of SERB.

What is the mode of selection for SERB-POWER research grant?

The selection will be based on the recommendations of Program Advisory Committee (PAC) constituted by the Board. If required, the applicants may be called for discussion/presentation

Whether a woman Scientist can hold both SERB-POWER Fellowship & SERB-POWER RESARCH Grant at the same time?

No, Woman Scientists cannot hold SERB-POWER Fellowship & SERB-POWER research grant at the same time.
