The scheme "Chief Minister’s Housing Assistance Programme" by the Housing Department, Government of Meghalaya, aims to provide durable housing to EWS and LIG families. Through this scheme, roofing materials and dwelling houses are provided to eligible families in the State.

Construction of a durable house with a carpet area of a minimum of 19.20 sqm (207 sq. ft) with at least 2 rooms for LIG households as a credit-linked subsidy. 1. Financial assistance up to ₹75,000 under the Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme for LIG houses. 1. Additional cost to be borne by beneficiary through own resources, MGNREGS, SRWP, or bank loan. 1. Houses to be constructed as per government-approved model (Annexure-A). 1. How to Apply

1. Step 1: Offline application — step 1

   Step 01: Visit the Block Development Officer (for rural areas) or District Housing Officer (for urban areas).

   Step 02: Obtain the prescribed printed application form issued by the Directorate of Housing.

   Step 03: Fill in the form with all personal, income, and housing details.
